Gary's 60th Birthday Pennine Way Trek!

Hey guys!

Long time no see, right?
I hugely apologise for  my absence and do intend to be posting more soon!
However I quickly want to share with you guys an event that is taking place in the summer to help raise money for two charities close to my heart!

My dad (Gary) for his 60th Birthday this year is  walking the Pennine Way which is 270 miles over 15 days!

He is fundraising for two charities:

1. One being for the the MS charity  (Multiple Sclerosis).

Please click here to donate to MS society

As some of you may know my lovely mother has had MS for over 10 years now and if you know anyone who suffers with MS you will understand how hard it is to see them get pushed down and lose confidence in themselves by this awful illness and it is heartbreaking to see her get worse and worse day by day.

2And secondly Diabetes UK.

Please click here to donate to Diabetes UK

Yet again as some of you may know if you happened to have read my post on living with diabetes then you would know from the age of 9 I was diagnosed with diabetes and it  has therefore affected my live for 8 years! It has also affected my dad from the age of 10 when his sister was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes also at the age of 10. If you know or have Type 1 diabetes yourself you then know the struggles we face in order to live and be healthy and it's a real challenge for all patients and members of the family to see their loved ones live with it on a daily basis.

My dad states "to get donations would be the best birthday present ever!"

Thank you for taking your time to engage and read this post! It would mean a lot if you could donate to these incredible charities and help 1000's of people across the UK with these terrible conditions, every penny definitely counts!

Please feel free to share this to spread the word and share it with your friends.

Thank you very much and good luck dad!

Recent high end make-up buys

Hello Everyone!
So last month it was my birthday and I received a lot of high end make-up that I am ever so grateful for! I also just got my monthly wages and decided to go out and treat myself to even more high end make-up and as of that I thought I'd treat you all and show you what I bought and got for my birthday.

Urban Decay Naked Concealer
Firstly, I received this concealer that I have been dying to get my hands on for ages but never came to actually buying it, from my lovely best friend Hollie! She must have know my desire of how much I wanted this concealer and decided to spoil me and buy me it.
I've heard so many great reviews about this concealer and I can now tell you all that it is such a great concealer!
The colour matches perfectly and stays on all day so I don't need to worry about touching up.

Urban Decay Naked Palette
Secondly, I received this Naked palatte from my boyfriend which I wasn't expecting at all so I was in shock as I gave him no hints or help what so ever so he did very good indeed!
I already have the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette and compared to this one they're both very, very different, they both include shimmer and matte colours but this one is definitely more me as it includes more neutral browns and golds tones for everyday wear.

Urban Decay All Nighter Make-Up Setting Spray
The final high end make up product I received was the urban decay all nighter make-up setting spray which I asked for and kindly received from my sister for my birthday. I've often used my friends spray when going out to keep my makeup on throughout the evening and it's worked wonders keeping my makeup on and not drying my skin out so I decided it was time to finally invest, or ask for it for my birthday which I did!

MAC - Honeylove Matte Lipstick
I recently went on a quite big, mad and unnecessary shopping spree, however I bought some wonderful things, including this Mac lipstick which I've been umming and arring about for ages but just really didn't think the shade would suit me, having really fair skin and this is quite a nudey lipstick with not much colour to it, however I had the money and I thought why not try it and my judgements about it were so wrong, it's a perfect everyday colour that according to my mother ''suits me really well''.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage
And at last but by no means least, this product which helps keep my makeup on all day but helps moisture my skin and helps the application of my foundation and powder. It's very easy to apply and is also very lightweight so you can instantly apply your makeup not having to dance around in your room for 10 minutes waiting for it to dry and set! The best part of this product is it reduces redness which is a big deal for me as I'm literally a walking tomato so it helps especially when I tend to go a little redder when I'm doing things.

Back 2 school night routine | Steps to help you get those 5 extra minutes in bed.

Hello everyone!
I know there is still a couple of weeks left before the majority of England go back to school or sixth form ect but I know a lot of people around the world are preparing themselves for their first day back already! And one thing I always struggle with before going to school whether that's the first day or the 95th day is getting in the routine of not waking up being in stress central and just going to school feeling even worse than I already do
So for todays post I thought I would talk you through my step by step night routine for back to school which helped me have those 5 extra minutes and still had me feeling as fresh as a daisy.
1. Once my day is drawing to a close and it's time to final start settling down and getting prepared for tomorrow the first thing I do is shower and wash my hair.
I think it's always better to wash your hair the night before as you aren't rushing around in the morning and potentially going to school with wet and damp her still getting you at risk of getting a cold.
Once I'm out of the shower, I will get straight into my dressing gown to feel more comfy and start to dry my hair making sure it's completely dry.
As my hair makes me look like I have a lions mane whenever I've just dried it I usual straighten it. (I don't do this often as I know heat damages your hair) But to save me time in the morning so I only have to straighten it a little as it usually stays over night as I tie it up, I straighten it after my shower.
2. I'll then get my clothes out that I'm wanting to wear the next day. I'll usually check the weather the night before (or ask my mum) so I can prepare my clothes around that but because I'm wanting those 5 extra minutes in bed before the first day of school I'll choose two outfits one that will suit the weather if it's warm or hot and one that will suit it if it's cold, wet or windy, in this case you won't be stressing looking for that top you thought was in your wardrobe but it's actually in the wash and you won't have you whole wardrobe scattered on your floor and your mum complaining  your room ''looks like a pig sty'' I swear I don't know this from experience.
What I've found also helps is laying out your make-up in the order that you will apply it on with the brushes and everything next to them therefore in this case you won't be spending ages looking for them if they aren't where you thought they were.
3. I hope you all do this plenty of days before the night before but we all do it.
Making sure you've done all your homework and it's in your bag along with everything else you need for the first day back. Make sure you've checked numerous days before that you've done all the homework, even if you're certain you had no work for that class make sure to check with a couple of friends in that class to be sure.
4. Once everything is prepared you can finally start to settle down but maybe struggle to try and get to sleep because you've just had 6 weeks holiday and have most likely been going to sleep at 1am or even later and haven't got back into the routine of an early nights sleep. So the best way I find to fall asleep easily is to turn your phone off I know it might be hard but picking up a book instead will help.
I'm currently reading 'The dog who dared to dream - Sun-mi Hwang' which is a cute book about a distinctive, outcast dog called Scraggly who has aspirations and dreams but each winter is faced with obstacles she must overcome.
Listening to music also helps me fall asleep quicker.
Listening to some soft, claiming music which you like listening to can make you fall asleep much quicker. However, make sure that it isn't to lively as that will get you pumped and less likely to fall asleep.
A calming artist I've been loving at the moment is Shawn Mendes I'm still a little hooked on his older album 'Handwritten' compared to his new one but both have great songs!
Hopefully these steps help you to wake up the morning of school being able to snooze that alarm and not need to worry about rushing around finding your favourite pen or your favourite skirt as you'll already have everything prepared!

How to style..| American apparel tennis skirt

Hello everyone!

About a month ago I went on a trip to London with my college. I didn't intend to buy anything whilst I was there but you know when you are in London you just can't help yourself, so a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and I spulrched a bit especially on one item which I'm sure you can tell what by the title of this blog post.

Yes, I got a typical white girl American Apparel tennis skirt and despite the price I have no regrets in buying it.
This tennis skirt is different to the typical plain coloured ones as it has a ombre pattern effect which is what had me drawn to it and I simply couldn't say no!

When I bought this I had so many different ideas on how to style this from party wear to casual and here I am today to show you 2 ideas I had on how to style it which may give you an idea on how to style yours if you have one or if you were like me and were contemplating on whether to get it because you weren't sure on how to style it.

I also contemplated on buying this because you often seen this skirt on girls with a slim figure and it suits them really well, however I have a bit of a bigger build so I was unsure whether it would just make my look bigger or not suit me at all but it's actually really well fitting and makes me look thinner so if that is also putting you off from buying one I will say give it a try cause you never know.

Style #1

This is a how I would style this skirt if I was wearing it to a party etc. So I would wear my black heels as that's why I like to wear when going to parties. And for the upper part of my body I would want to keep it quite plain and simple with a black, navy or white top as the skirt already stands out so we don't want anymore patterns, that's why I decided to pair it with this off the shoulder white floaty top as it still gives it that party look with the off the shoulders but keeping it simple with the colour.

Skirt - American Apparel
Off the shoulder top - TOPSHOP
Heels - ASOS

Style #2

This is actually a bit similar to the first style as I think to style this skirt all you need is basic tops and basic shoes etc. So for this style I decided to pair it with a basic oversized navy jumper as it contrasts with the blue ombre in the skirt and my black heel boots which makes more formal dressed up. The overall theme with this skirt is white, black or navy as they all blend in and work well with the skirt. You can always be adventurous and pair it with a more brighter colour for example orange as any colour goes with black or white however I don't have many bright colours in my wardrobe so I like to stick to what I have.
This outfit is very white girl and tumblr I know, but beside that I think it's supper cute.

Skirt - American Apparel
Navy long sleved jumper - H&M
Black heeled boots - Boohoo

Orange long sleeve crop top - Topshop
White Nike air force - Office

MAC Lipstick collection.

Hello everyone!
The one make-up product I constantly see myself purchasing is lipsticks and to be more specific MAC lipsticks.
I guess you can say I often buy MAC lipsticks to jump on the bandwagon and see what the rave about a popular shade is but I also love the quality of them which is why I'm forever buying them.

I've seen a lot of YouTubers and Bloggers who have been doing videos and posts on their MAC lipstick collection, so today I thought I would show you what lipsticks from MAC I have purchased.

When I purchased this lipstick my dad was like 'Woah, that's bright' and I agree it is a very vibrant, pop of purple but that's what I love about it. It's perfect for the spring/summer time and can easily brighten up a plain outfit.

This is one of the lipsticks I purchased based on many raves and reviews I had read. It comes out quite brown when you swatch it and it does actually come out the colour when you apply it to the lips, obviously this will look different depending on your skin tone etc. But because I'm quite pale I don't really think it suits me however I also purchased the lip liner 'whirl' and these products work really well together however on me I'm not so sure.

VIVA GLAM - Ariana Grande
Unlike most people (I assume) I didn't buy this lipstick because it was Ariana Grande I bought it because when I saw the shade I instantly thought that's so me, the darkness and almost black shade of it had me written all over it. However when you swatch it and apply it to your lips it isn't as dark as I thought which is a bit upsetting as it is very similar to a lipstick shade I already have however I still love it just as much.

These next two lipsticks were bought for me from my lovely friend Hollie! And she knows my obsession with dark purple lipsticks so what better could she do than buy me a MAC dark purple lipstick. This is by far my favourite lipstick of my collection as it's not too dark that I can't wear it everyday so it's just the right amount of colour to meet my standards.

Hollie also knew that I had a dilemma with a red lipstick which was just awful so bought me this one to replace it which I am ever grateful for as it is such a lovely shade of red that I could wear it and not feel like a clown!

This was my first ever lipstick I received in 2013 by my friend Isabel! I'm usually not a big fan of satin finishes as they tend to wear off on my lips easily making them look dry. However the two I have are an exception due to there colour. Rebel looks like a dark purple which yet again I love however when I apply it on my lips it's a very pinkish berry colour which yet again doesn't really suit me in my opinion because I am very pale.

Even though I just said I'm not the biggest fan of satin finishes Faux has got to be one of my favourite lipstick shade as I can wear it whenever, wherever, (Your not Shakira) to just add a little something to my outfit/face to make me look a little more presentable as it's such a gorgeous pinky nude that will suit anyone

I bought this lipstick when I was at Swindon Outlet which means MAC are no longer selling this lipstick shade. I didn't actually realise it was glaze finish until I got home and applied it. If I knew before It probably would've put me of from buying it however this was before I purchases Faux as applying Beauty on top of Faux makes it a much nicer shade of nudey pink as Beauty is a really light pink shade which shimmers really well when over the top of Faux.

What are some of your favourite MAC lipsticks?
